Marc Leibowitz has nearly 30 years of highly diverse experience in business development, sales and software development and as a successful entrepreneur and investor. His business acumen, innovative strategies, and team-building expertise is rapidly leading TeacherPlanBook.com to the head of its field.

Twenty years of Marc’s career were spent in three global software firms, where he become known for his ability to build and motivate top-performing teams. For example, for seven years Marc worked with saleforce.com, where he was Senior Director of Sales Engineering in two major sectors. He led the largest sales engineering team at salesforce.com, with his team exceeding quotas for five consecutive years. When he developed “SE teaming” and changed how salesforce.com competed for opportunities, his teams’ win rate grew above 90%.

Earlier, Marc spent more than twelve years with J.D. Edwards, as Director and Solution Architect - Life Sciences. He was a key contributor in corporate growth from $13M to more than $1B with over $350M in total lifetime sales across several industries. Previously he was Director of International IS and Tech Support at Tambrands, where he created new strategies that instantly grew corporate profits.

Since leaving salesforce.com in 2013, Marc has been founding, investing in and managing entrepreneurial companies, bringing his broad-ranging talents to bear in smaller and growing firms.

As the father of school-age children, Marc recognized the necessity of improving the educational system, to teach the leaders of the future successfully. Marc brings his talents and business-building skill-set to this mission at TeacherPlanBook.com, directing the company’s strategic direction, financing, product development, sales and marketing. His team-oriented, hands-on leadership, his ability to attract and retain extraordinary talent, and his knowledge of market penetration are creating top-performing products and teams, quickly positioning the company for rapid growth and market share.

Max Altolaguirre has more than 20 years of experience in Support, Development, Technical Sales and Management across numerous enterprise software companies. He has always had a passion for innovating and improving software from a technology and user friendliness standpoint. The unique opportunity to help transform the traditional education ecosystem to the Cloud brought him to TeacherPlanBook.com, where he heads software development and cloud solutions.

Stanley K. Simon

Stanley K. Simon

Executive V.P., Business Development and Sales

Stanley Simon brings decades of teaching, consulting and business development experience to TeacherPlanBook.com. He worked in education from 1966-1995, first at Public School 62 in Queens, N.Y.; next as an adjunct professor at Bronx Community College of New York; then assistant principal, then principal at New York’s Public School 104. From 1996-2001, Mr. Simon consulted for Harcourt Publishing, Prentice Hall, Scholastic, Holt Rinehart and Achieve 3000.  He served as Vice President Director of Business Development at McGraw-Hill Publishing and Vice President of Enterprise Solutions, District Partnerships, for HMH Publishing, where he was a strategic member of the senior sales management team and networked extensively to achieve a strong analysis of educational funding and other issues that impact instructional materials nationally. In 2012 Mr. Simon founded ABC Educational Consulting Group of which he is the President. In March of 2017 he took on the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development for TeacherPlanBook.com where he has built the sales and consulting team as he assists in expanding our educational technology firm.

Stanley obtained his master’s degree in education from City College of New York, N.Y., and his New York State Professional Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision from Queens College, N.Y., where he also earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.

Lauri Susi

Lauri Susi, M.Ed,

Director, Implementation and Professional Learning

Lauri Susi has been active in the field of education for more than 35 years.  She has been a special education teacher, classroom teacher, technology teacher, consultant to school districts and a university instructor.  As a special education teacher, she collaborated with teachers to provide specialized instruction for students with a broad range of disabilities that included the implementation of digital content and assistive technology. As a classroom teacher, she has taught first and sixth grade.  As a district technology teacher, she facilitated the integration of technology into K-12 instruction by working with district leadership, curriculum planning teams and classroom teachers at all levels.

Lauri has also been a lecturer in the schools of education at the University of Hartford and the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, where she supervised student teachers, taught undergraduate and graduate methods courses. 

In addition to working in higher education, she has spent the past ten years consulting and providing staff development and leadership workshops for districts on effective implementation of both technology and mathematics. She has worked closely with teacher teams and administrators to facilitate implementation of new instructional practices including in-classroom support assisting teachers as they learn new content and sharpen their pedagogical skills.  She was a founder of Conceptua Math and has presented numerous sessions at regional and national conferences including but not limited to NCSM, NCTM, FETC, NECC, COSN, ASCD, ATIA, and Closing the GAP.

Jackie Pons

Jackie Pons

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Jackie Pons has been an assistant principal, award-winning principal and high-achieving superintendent at various schools in Florida. As superintendent of Leon County Schools in Tallahassee, from 2006-2016, he led more than 75 administrative departments and 50 separate school facilities and programs. His key achievements included increasing the overall graduation rate by 18%, with African-American graduation rate increasing 25.2% during the same period.  His school district earned A or B designation within the state in 9 of the 10 years he was superintendent, with recognition by the Florida Department of Education as a “high-performing school district” during his tenure. He recruited more than 1,000 mentors within the community to assist students with education issues, as well as helping them remain on path to success through creation of “Sit Down for Kids” campaign. Additionally, he spearheaded an energy conservation program that saved the district $9.2 million.  Earlier, as principal of Deerlake Middle School, he propelled the school to distinction as one of only 14 schools nationally and only Florida school to earn Blue Ribbon of Distinction award and received “Principal of the Year” award in 2000.

After serving a decade as Superintendent of Leon County Schools, Mr. Pons has worked as a Faculty Administrator at Florida A & M University Developmental Research School in Tallahassee and as an educational consultant for USA Education Consulting.

He has joined TeacherPlanBook.com because he believes the company’s products are essential to improving education, with resources that are unavailable anywhere else. He is particularly interested in introducing TPB Learning Analytics to the superintendents he knows, so that they can benefit from the real-time data and actionable intelligence they have never previously accessed.

Stan Paz

Stan Paz, Ph.D.,

Stan Paz, Ph.D., has been in education since 1983. He started as Associate Superintendent for Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, Texas, before becoming Superintendent for the El Paso Independent School District in El Paso, Texas. His successes in this district are too numerous to detail here, but they include reducing student drop-out rate to less than one percent district-wide and being named by the National Science Foundation as a premier urban district in the U.S. for demonstrating dramatic improvement in student achievement in reading and math. Next, Stan served 13,000 members as Director of the American Association of School Administrators’ National Academy for School Executives in Arlington, VA, and worked as a Regional Vice President for Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc., Baltimore, MD. In 2000, he began four years as Superintendent of the Tucson Unified School District, Tucson, AZ, where he improved every aspect of the district, from graduation rates and academic achievement to innovative partnerships with 16 local colleges and universities.

In 2005, Stan became Vice President, National Markets, leading McGraw-Hill Education’s Urban Advisory Resource unit targeting the largest school districts  in the Western states. After ten years of working this region’s many districts, helping them improve student performance, Stan began his service as Executive Director for the Texas Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents - TALAS. He has now joined TeacherPlanBook.com as Senior Vice President, Business Development, introducing the TPB Enterprise Edition throughout the Western region.

Debra Kerr

Debra Kerr has benefitted from an illustrious, fast paced track in her career in sales and management as a strategist, sales expert and senior executive leader who succeeded in climbing the corporate ladder in Ed Tech organizations in the K-20 Industry. She has recently made a significant shift in her career from corporate America to investing her time and expertise into her own independent consulting firm, leveraging all she has learned to help organizations make the shift necessary to move the needle in the areas of sales growth, people development and cultural reform. Debra has a talent for people - she knows how to recruit, develop and optimize the engine of individuals and very large teams - she is excited, energized and hopeful that in this next phase of her career she will be effective and extremely successful at raising the lid on the leadership skills of women, youth and people of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. She has a passion for adding value to others and facilitating the growth and self- actualization of individuals.

Until recently, September 2017, Debra was the Head of Sales for Age of Learning, creators of the award winning comprehensive online early learning academy – abcmouse.com. She is a former Senior Vice President of Pearson and executive project leader of its enterprise-wide transformation to entirely digital platforms. Her instrumental leadership included establishing Pearson as a competitive provider of digital publishing systems and technical services for the K-12 education market of their $4B operations. Most recently, she was selected by Legacy South Florida Magazine as one of “South Florida’s Most Powerful Black Professionals in Business and Industry for 2014.

Debra is a native of Jamaica and a former public relations officer and Second Runner Up for the Miss Jamaica (World) Pageant. She also gained notoriety as one of the island country’s top fashion models. After a successful stint as an anchor for a government sponsored public television program broadcast, she leveraged her career into work with middle- and senior level management, leading etiquette and grooming seminars for various corporate clients.

After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Debra ascended from technical sales representative to Owner and President of Computer Tech Ltd. She exercised natural team leadership ability and honed a particular acumen in sales and marketing to lead the company to $7MM in sales in her last year of tenure. She then immigrated to the United States, and accepted the challenge of thriving within a markedly different business culture.

Debra tapped into her established expertise in the information technology sector to build and manage business plans and marketing strategies that won her a Top Sales Award as a MacCenter (Apple Computer sales) Agent for K-12 markets. In 2001, after succeeding in a similar consulting and sales role for MCSi / Central Audio Visual, she capitalized on her proven value to become a curriculum account executive for Pearson. During the next five years, she won numerous Outstanding Performance President’s Awards, surpassing sales quotas for digital learning products by up to 189%.

A promotion to regional sales manager saw her challenged with generating $13.5MM in regional sales goals; and she once again earned distinction as an Outstanding District Sales Performer. She oversaw all aspects of regional sales team management and set national sales policies and strategies that pioneered significant growth. Come mid-2011, Debra had risen to the role of Regional Vice President, surpassing all expectations for achievement of $27MM in annual regional sales goals and earning Outstanding Region Sales Performance with 148% to plan. Finally, in 2013, she was hand-picked to assume Senior Vice Presidency of the entire enterprise and strategic leadership of the U.S. K-12 market.

After an injury in 2007 left her with a broken back, she developed a particular compassion for the plights of chronic pain patients, and those of children in particular. While undergoing ntense physical therapy, she was driven to champion fundraising efforts for St. Jude’s Hospital. While working with the nonprofit pediatric research and treatment facility, and using her influence in the child education industry, Debra has raised (to date) more than $20K through the St. Jude Triathlon. Debra is also a certified John Maxwell Leadership Speaker, Trainer and Coach and is on the Board of the Foundation for Volunteer Florida and City Year Miami.

Michael Knowles has a diverse background covering over 35 years of experience leading Education, Training, Technical Publications, and Customer Service teams for enterprise software and hardware companies. He has also facilitated strategic futuring scenario sessions for the Surgeons General of the Air Force, Army, and Navy as part of a 5-year program in the US Department of Defense. Michael joined TeacherPlanBook.com because he felt that same passion for positive transformation he encountered with the DoD team and believes that teaching children to think clearly is the most important educational outcome imaginable. Michael is devoted to ensuring that every TeacherPlanBook user has an excellent experience with the product, the product documentation, and the customer services team. He also runs the Quality Assurance team and manages demonstration and pilot program environments.

Mary Lacoste has 28 years of experience as the Director of Operations of a prominent, New York law firm and many years as a certified teen and family mediator. She grew up in a family of educators.  Her great uncle was the principal of the only school in a small Long Island town back in the 1950's. Her father became the first principal of the junior high school as that same district grew to house eight separate schools. Mary's family has always been focused on improving the learning experience for both the students and teachers. This passion for education has been inherited by Mary who has become a true asset to TeacherPlanBook.com.

Anthony Griffin

Anthony Griffin

In 1996, Dr. Anthony Griffin began his mission to research, design, and implement effective teaching and learning for the students in his classroom. Inspired to learn more, he earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development, with the vision to improve teaching and learning in more classrooms than his own. 

He was elected by his community to the Board of Education in 2016. There, he champions authentic assessment, technology integration, and project-based learning. Prior to that, Dr. Griffin co-created a Facebook group of over 14,000 parents, teachers, and individuals who wore green laces to reduce high-stakes testing and improve teaching and learning.

Dr. Griffin has joined TeacherPlanBook.com to work to effect change in the educational evolution. He believes it is precisely the set of resources tool teachers and districts are missing that can break down silos, re-spark morale, and improve the schoolhouse from within, using the best resources in American education: our dedicated educators.

Emma Klimek

Emma Klimek

Mrs. Klimek’s career has included positions as a teacher, reading specialist, principal and assistant superintendent. She was a member of the Eastern Suffolk BOCES network team for Race to the Top in the areas of Inquiry Teaming and Teacher Evaluation. Her expertise lies in the use of data to inform instruction and create solutions for APPR with the use of data. Mrs. Klimek has provided consultant services to and presented workshops and other training sessions to over 50 school districts on Long Island and across New York State. In addition, Mrs. Klimek has been a founding member and an executive council member of the New York State Data Analysis Technical Assistance Group (DATAG).

TeacherPlanBook.com’s Jay Condrill has almost twenty years experience as a teacher at Central Islip High School in Central Islip, New York. Frustrated with taking so much time away from teaching and family to create – then annually recreate – a lesson planner, Jay developed the outline for an online lesson planner that would eliminate wasted time, improve lesson planning and integrate curriculum standards. This was the birth of TeacherPlanBook.com.

Paul Shuster

Paul Shuster came to TeacherPlanBook.com with an unusual combination: decades as a teacher, plus 20 years as an educational consultant and developer and trainer of educational software programs. After30 years of teaching in Canada, he became an Educational Consultant for IBM, implementing school networks and training teachers in their use. His fascination with the technology brought him to Media-X Systems, Inc., where he developed an on-line registration system for Algonquin College and hand-held apps for Student Information Systems. He then became Vice President, Product Development and Training at Media-X Systems. In this position, he headed Research and Development of hardware implementation so as to remotely collect observation/appraisal data for their Web Based systems…attended trade shows, produced videos, documentation and virtual/on-site demonstrations…trained several hundred school leaders on-site with regards to the design and implementation of teacher evaluations and classroom observations…and authored 2 books (print and eBook) on staff evaluations and ‘walkthroughs’ to improve student achievement.

After spending at year as a consultant with Harris School Solutions, we were lucky to have Paul join TeacherPlanBook.com. As Principal Data Scientist, Paul is developing dashboards and additional features for our products and editions used by school and district administrators. His insights and talents continually improve TeacherPlanBook.com’s products and editions, making them easier to utilize and including valuable additional features.
